About The Original Butterfly Man
Hello, I’m Eos Griffiths – better known as The Original Butterfly Man.
For over 40 years, I’ve been designing and making handmade aluminium butterflies and dragonflies from my small workshop in Carrog, near Corwen, North Wales. What started as a hobby soon became my life’s work. Over the years, my butterflies have found homes across the UK and beyond.
Each butterfly and dragonfly is cut, shaped, and painted by hand using durable aluminium designed to last outdoors. Every piece comes with a strong fixing bracket and is easy to fit on a wall, fence, or inside your home. No two are ever quite the same.
You won’t find my work in shops or garden centres. Everything is made in small batches, sold direct from my workshop or through this website. If you visit in person, you can see for yourself how each butterfly is crafted – and sometimes spot a new design in progress.
I’m always happy to chat about custom work, larger commissions, or the real butterflies that inspire my art. If you’d like to visit, please call ahead to check opening times or to chat about what’s in stock.
Thank you for supporting a small, local craft business in North Wales. I hope my butterflies bring a bit of colour and joy to your home or garden.
